A reduced ferric molybdophosphate, (H2en)3(Hen)[FeIII3 MoV12O24(OH)8(HPO4)4(PO4)4] ·3H2O (1) has been hydrothermally synthesized and characterized. In compound 1, a sandwich-shaped cluster [Fe(Mo6P4)2] is connected to eight peripheral {FeO5(OH)} octahedra through its eight {PO4} tetrahedra to form a three-dimensional framework with channels which are filled by water and protonated ethylenediamine molecules. The compound exhibits a 4,8-connected 3-D network with a (41261284)(46)2 topology. The DC susceptibility measurement has shown an antiferromagnetic character of the exchange interactions. Additionally, the electrochemical properties of 1-CPE were studied in detail
