Since 1960, the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) has made available to chemists everywhere a large amount of important chemical information published in the journal Pure and Applied Chemistry.
We are sad to announce the passing of Hugh Burrows, Editor-in-Chief of PAC between 2014-2022, and offer our deepest condolences to his family and friends. Hugh passed away surrounded by his loved ones on March 12, 2023. He left a big gap in our community and will be sorely missed. To honor Hugh's many contributions to IUPAC and our journal we plan to publish a more extensive obituary in the next issue of PAC. Please join us for a minute of silence dedicated to Hugh.
In 2020 we celebrated Pure and Applied Chemistry's 60th anniversary! As part of these celebrations, we are offering free access to the virtual issue of PAC: 60 seminal papers published in PAC over the past 60 years
