Text layout:
ZRG’ font isTimes New Roman. En dashes and quotation marks are to be entered consistently correctly ("1-2f."), as are paragraphs and spaces. Old languages are italicized in the manuscript without quotation marks, only longer source citations can be in regular font as a separate paragraph in smaller print. Special characters and special requests should be noted separately. For Ancient Greek, "GR Times New Roman" is recommended. - Footnotes are always placed before the punctuation mark.
Footnotes:
begin with a capital letter and end with a period. First and last names of authors are underlined in the footnotes (please do not use spaced letters!). Please put slashes between multiple authors. Book titles, essay titles, and journal titles are not emphasized, not even by quotation marks. Upon the first citation, the long citation must be given along with the place and year of publication. Series titles are not included in the footnotes. The publication year is always given between commas before the page number; for journals, however, is it advisable to state the year in round brackets. S., § or fol. are sometimes used for clarification. Abbreviations and acronyms are to be written out at the first mention. - Second citations are very short concrete references back to the preceding long citation (withour cf. or ibid.). Parentheses within parentheses are to be avoided.
Citation style:
This journal is cited (example): ZRG 125 KA 94 (2008) 1, respectively ZRG GA 125 (2008) 1, ZRG RA 125 (2008) 1. The abbreviations D. 1,1,1 pr., A.D., 1f./ff., (ed.)/(ed.), p., note, vol., lit., e.g., cf., etc., etc., fol./foll. are common, please write out others.
Book Reviews:
Please make sure that the review header gives all bibliographic information, at any rate series title, publisher, place of publication, year of publication, edition, volume.
Corrections:
