Hybrid Open Access Journals

We provide hybrid open access to your published articles across almost the entirety of our subscription portfolio, comprising more than 340 subscription-based journals, covering all areas of scientific research.

Article Processing Charges

De Gruyter offers all authors who publish open access articles with us comprehensive and high-quality services. To cover these publication and associated costs, we usually apply an article processing charge (APC) to open access articles. The level of the APC depends on the journal and authors should check on the journal’s website before manuscript submission. However, as funding might be an obstacle to getting your research out to the world, we offer a waiver policy for each journal in addition to individual discretionary discounts/waivers.

Hybrid Open Access journals

  • The APC for an article in a hybrid open access journal is 2,000 EUR, irrespective of the subject area.
