Henry George Liddell (1811–1898) was a Greek lexicographer who served as Dean at Christ Church College Oxford (1855–91) and vice-chancellor of the University of Oxford (1870–74). His famous A Greek-English Lexicon, which Liddell compiled in collaboration with Robert Scott based on the Greek-German lexicon of Franz Passow, first appeared in 1843.
