The NT mentions Judas Iscariot, the disciple who betrayed Jesus, only in the four gospels and the first chapter of Acts. Outside these texts there are no unambiguous references to the historical figure of Judas in the NT. In 1 Cor 11:23 Paul makes an explicit reference to the Last Supper “on the night in which Jesus was handed over (παρεδίδετο),” but does not mention Judas by name.
