Comparison of three Loss Optimization Techniques of FOC Induction Motor Drive

This paper presents a comparative study of an analytical method and particle swarm optimization method for minimum-energy loss for a field oriented control induction motor drive in transient regime. Those suggested strategies are based on the optimization of the input active power to determine the optimal flux which minimizes the induction motor efficiency. Comparing with the conventional field oriented control it has been observed that the Particle Swarm Optimization based algorithm is much more efficient than the other methods.
