Modeling and Analysis of the Open-End Stator Winding Permanent Magnet SM with Salient-Poles fed by VSI

Abstract

In this paper, the authors propose the mathematical model in Park reference frame of the open-end stator winding salient poles permanent magnet synchronous machine. The machine is supplied by two 2-level inverters and compared with classic permanent magnet synchronous machine. The feeding machine by two 2-levels cascaded inverters based on phase-disposition PWM strategy is presented. Comparative simulation analysis using the THD voltage, THD stator current, the torque ripple is shown.
