    Aims and Scope

    Anglia. Journal of English Philology was founded in 1878 by Moritz Trautmann and Richard P. Wülker, and is thus the longest-established journal of English studies. As a quarterly academic journal, Anglia publishes articles on English language and linguistics, on English and American literature and culture from the Middle Ages to the present, on the new English literatures, as well as on general and comparative literary studies, including aspects of cultural and literary theory. Reviews on recent publications in the research areas mentioned are included in all volumes.

Authors of essays, short articles and reviews shall receive free PDF-offprints.
