Abstract
An annotated checklist of identified Brazilian Oppioidea is provided; it includes 14 species, eight genera and two families. Five species - Teratoppia (Teratoppiella) brevipectinata, Ramusella (Ramusella) curtipilus, Striatoppia opuntiseta, Moritzoppia (Moritzoppia) keilbachi and Multioppia (Hammeroppia) gracilis - are recorded for the first time in Brazil; of these, M. (Moritzoppia) keilbachi and M. (Hammeroppia) gracilis are recorded from the Neotropical region for the first time. Two new species, Teratoppia (Teratoppia) parareducta sp. n. and Brachioppia insolita sp. n., are described and illustrated on the basis of adult specimens. Teratoppia (T.) parareducta sp. n. is most similar to T. (T.) reducta Balogh & Mahunka, 1969, but it differs from the latter by the position of adanal lyrifissures, length of rostral setae and lamellar setae and morphology and length of notogastral setae. Brachioppia insolita sp. n. differs from other species of the genus by the position of adanal lyrifissures and shape of anterior notogastral margin.
