Published Online: 2014-07-17 | DOI: https://doi.org/10.1515/ci.2014.36.4.12b

The board of directors of the Royal Netherlands Chemical Society (KNCV) has appointed Jan-Willem Toering as director, effective 1 March 2014. Toering has extensive experience in the chemical industry and a long track record as an independent entrepreneur. From 2000 until 2004 he was part of the KNCV board of directors.

Prof. dr. Saskia M. van der Vies, chair of the society, is happy to announce Toering’s appointment: “Jan-Willem is an energetic and inspiring personality and he will be able to execute KNCV’s mission passionately. I am confident that he is the right person to motivate and enthuse our volunteers and staff. Beyond doubt this new director will strengthen KNCV’s role.”

KNCV is the most dedicated network of professionals at all degree levels and in all fields of chemistry and sciences that involve chemistry in the Netherlands. The society is an inspiring, scientific, and social network. More than 8000 members have already discovered the value of this network.
