23-27 November 2014, Johannesburg, South Africa

Published Online: 2014-07-17 | DOI: https://doi.org/10.1515/ci.2014.36.4.34a

From Innovation to Commercialisation will be this year’s theme of the International Symposium on Macro and Supramolecular Architectures and Materials (MAM-14), 23-27 November 2014, in Emperors Palace Hotel Casino, Convention and Entertainment Resort, Johannesburg, South Africa. The symposium provides an opportunity for scientists and engineers to showcase their research on an international platform. It also provides a venue for entrepreneurs and venture capitalists to discuss collaborative research and business developments. A panel of international experts will discuss and address possible avenues to bridge the gap between research and development. Conference attendees will receive a copy of the proceedings that contains all accepted papers.

This symposium will include emerging research related to nanotechnology, electrochemistry, nanobiotechnology, materials chemistry, material fictionalization and other interesting topics. It will also address venture investments, which take results from laboratory to product.

Themes include:

Industrialization of nanotechnology

Nanotechnology education

Nanobiotechnology and biomedicine

Modeling and electronics

Risk assessment and regulation

Materials chemistry and analysis

Design and development

Material fictionalization

Macro- and supramolecular architectures

The symposium comprises world-class plenary presentations, invited lectures from 30 different countries, panel discussions, oral and poster presentations, an insightful exhibition, and numerous other contributions. The scientific program will be published on the website.

Abstracts for both oral and poster presentations will be considered. Abstract submissions and guidelines will be obtained from the website.
