    Overview

Journal is closed for submission since 1st of April 2017

Fluorescent Materials is a peer-reviewed, electronic-only multidisciplinary journal devoted to publishing original research of high quality and impact covering all aspects of fluorescent materials, including novel synthetic methods, fundamental properties and advanced applications. The following is a non-exhaustive list of the topics covered in Fluorescent Materials:

    • Synthesis and processing of organic, inorganic, and hybrid materials by physical, chemical, and biological methods
    • Emerging materials such as carbon quantum dots, carbon nanodots, graphene quantum dots, graphene oxide quantum dots
    • Down-conversion and up-conversion materials
    • Mechanochromic materials
    • Modeling and simulation of synthetic, assembly, and interaction processes
    • Nature of luminescence centers
    • Transient and coherent phenomena
    • Fluorescent biomarkers and their spectroscopy
    • Low-dimensional systems, quantum dots, single molecule and single-particle spectroscopy
    • Electroluminescent devices and solid-state lighting
    • Biophotonics and bioimaging
    • Fluorescence-based sensors

In addition to publishing rapid communications and research articles, Fluorescent Materials also publishes topical reviews on themes of particular current interest to the community.

    Aims and Scope

    Why subscribe and read

The goal of the journal is to be the first and main publishing option for authors writing on fluorescent materials and related topics, and a hub integrating the relevant research community in the field of biology, chemistry, materials science and physics.
For readers the journal will position itself as the central and most authoritative publication in the topics of fluorescent materials and its applications.
