Information Technologies and Control
The Journal of Institute of Information and Communication Technologies of Bulgarian Academy of Sciences
The SAI Journal "Information Technologies and Control" publishes high-quality papers on the theory, design and application of Control Systems and Information Systems, and their components. Original papers that has not been published or accepted for publication by other journals will only be considered. Full versions of papers which have been included in proceedings of conferences and symposia could also be submitted. Submitted manuscripts must be typewritten in English.
Aims and Scope
The Information Technologies and Control is an international scientific journal dedicated to publishing original contributions including theoretical as well as application papers in the areas of information processing and control engineering. Topics include, but are not limited to: adaptive control, artificial intelligence, biological and medical systems, computer communication technologies, control of manufacturing systems, control of process systems, discrete event systems, high performance computing, identification and filtering, intelligent systems, multi-agent systems, network control systems, operations research, optimal control, pattern recognition, robot control, robust control, signal and image processing, scientific computations, software technologies, information technologies and control in education. Survey articles will also be considered.
This is an open access journal, supported by De Gruyter, which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles in this journal, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.
The journal publishes 4 regular issues per annum and/or some additional special thematic issues with selection of extended papers from international scientific events.
The journal "Information Technologies and Control" is abstracted/indexed in 17 data bases including Baidu Scholar, EBSCO Discovery Service, Google Scholar and ResearchGate.

Submission of Manuscripts
Instructions for Authors
Information Technologies and Control accepts for possible consideration unpublished quality scientific manuscripts. Please note that the journal uses software to screen manuscripts for unoriginal material.
Submitted manuscripts must be written in English and should be in Microsoft Word format. (Times New Roman 12 p, single spacing).
The length of manuscripts is limited to: 16 pages for scientific papers, 20 pages for surveys and 8 pages for application papers. First page must contain:
- Title of paper,
- Name, affiliation and mailing address (including e-mail) of each author,
- Preferred address for correspondence,
- Abstract (not exceeding 150 words),
- Keywords (not exceeding five),
- Footnotes (if desired) containing acknowledgment of financial or other support.
Manuscripts should include: an introduction with statement of the problem under consideration and current state-of-the-art of the existing solutions, main text presenting the investigation, and conclusion containing evaluation of the results obtained. Authors must adhere to SI units. Units are not italicised. A descriptive, intuitive explanation is preferred to extended formal development (theorems, lemmas, etc) when technology components and applications are presented. Detailed mathematical derivations should be put in appendixes. References should appear as a separate bibliography at the end of the paper, numbered in square brackets, e.g., . References to works published in languages other than English should be translated into English with the original languages given in brackets after the translated text, e.g. (in Russian). For the style of overall layout see examples in the journal issues.
Accepting a manuscript
Authors of accepted manuscripts are required to provide the final electronic version of the paper in MS Word format together with Encapsulated PostScript files for figures, along with biographies (not exceeding 100 words) and photographs of all authors. The electronic version can be submitted by e-mailing it to: firstname.lastname@example.org
After a manuscript has been accepted for publication the author(s) will be approached with a request to pay a charge of 70 euros per paper to cover partially the cost of publication. The payment of this charge is a not a necessary prerequisite for submitting a paper.
