    Overview

    Aims and Scope

The Jahrbuch für Geschichte Lateinamerikas – Anuario de Historia de America Latina has a longstanding tradition since 1964. The JbLA is a refereed scholarly journal which presents unpublished original research of the history of Latin America. The articles are written in five languages: Spanish, Portuguese, English, German, and French. The section "Forum/Foro" covers current historiography and contributions from outside that are important for the history of Latin America. Thus the journal aims to give critical impulses to the discussion of Latin American History and to contribute to the European Historiography from a Latin American point of view. The yearbook is available both as a regular print-subscription and as open access ejournal.
