An inverse problem of recovery of the properties of membrane in the acoustic medium

- We consider a linearized inverse problem of determining the density and tension of an unbounded membrane. The membrane is located in the acoustic medium. The properties of the membrane are supposed to be dependent on one spatial variable. The values of acoustic field at a point outside the membrane are taken as the inverse problem data. This problem is reduced to Volterra integral equations, which implies the existence, uniqueness, and stability of solution to the inverse problem.
