SUMMARIES

After a survey on the function of mass deacidification some ideas and deliberations are given how to evaluate, in terms of numerical comparison, the benefit of this method of library and archives preservation in comparison to the benefit of other relevant methods (cold storage, e.g.) and to the risks for documents in libraries and archives.

D'après une enquête sur la fonction de la neutralisation de masse quelques idées et réflexions ont été présentées en termes de chiffres pour savoir comment évaluer l'utilité des différentes mesures de conservation dans les bibliothèques et les archives en les comparant à d'autres méthodes passives qui ont fait leurs preuves (telles que le stockage au froid p.ex.) et aux autres risques de détérioration de documents dans les archives et les bibliothèques.

Nach einem Überblick über die Funktion der Massenneuralisierung werden Überlegungen vorgestellt, wie man den Nutzen dieser konservatorischen Maßnahme in Zahlen erfassen und mit dem Nutzen passiver Maßnahmen der Bestandserhaltung und mit Verlustrisiken von Archiv- und Bibliotheksgut vergleichen kann.
