Study of Ageing of Arylmethane Dyes by UV-VIS Spectroscopy

SUMMARIES

This paper deals with the characterization of dyes in solutions by UV-VIS spectroscopy and degradation processes of the system dye-paper substrate by accelerated ageing studied by the reflectance UV-VIS spectroscopy and colorimetry. Six arylmethane dyes were investigated together with phenothiazine dye Basic Blue 9 and xanthene dye Acid Red 87. Spectral and colorimetric characteristics of the dyes during ageing are discussed.

Cette analyse traite de la caractérisation de colorants en solutions au moyen de la spectroscopie UV-VIS et des processus de dégradation du système « colorant sur papier » au cours du vieillissement accéléré examiné au moyen de la spectroscopie UV-VIS et de la colorimétrie. Six colorants arylméthanes ont fait l'objet de cette étude avec du phénothiazine de base bleu 9 et du xanthène acide-rouge 87. Les caractéristiques spectrales et colorimétriques observées au cours du vieillissement feront l'objet d'études plus poussées.

Sechs Arylmethan-Farbstoffe, Phenothiazin Basisblau 9 und Xanthen Säure-Rot 87 in Lösemittel sowie das Verhalten des Systems “Farbstoff auf Papier” bei beschleunigter Alterung (Licht und feuchte Hitze) werden mittels UV-VIS-Spektroscopie und Kolorimetrie untersucht. Die bei den Alterungen auftretenden Veränderungen der spektralen und kolorimetrieschen Meßdaten werden näher diskutiert.
