    The aims of the journal, issued since 1963, are: to contribute to the development of high-quality demographic research in Poland, to create a platform for the exchange of views on a European level, with focus on Central and Eastern Europe, and to provide necessary information to the public debate on population issues in Poland, Europe and worldwide. Demographic Studies are addressed to the members of the academic community, public administration and all persons with interest in population processes. The thematic scope of the journal encompasses broadly-understood population issues, in particular (but not exclusively) from the fields of demography, epidemiology, economics, geography, sociology, political sciences and population statistics. Publication languages are: Polish, English. The papers in Polish are provided with a summary/abstract in English.
