The translation of the first lines of the Gospel of Judas has been the subject of scholarly debate. One of the major problems seems to be the meaning of the Greek word λΟΓΟC in Coptic context. This article, after presenting the debate, proposes a new translation of this passage, which takes into consideration the meaning of the word λΟΓΟC in other Coptic texts.
