Beobachtung einer Wachstumsinstabilität durch Kathodolumineszenz

Abstract

The study of a YAG-Nd-crystal in a scanning electron microscope has shown that the cathode luminescence distribution is a sensitive method of detecting crystal growth anomalies such as the appearance of striations, the development of an interface instability and the transition to cellular growth.
