Theoretical Efficiency of a Thermionic Diode

A theoretical analysis of the efficiency of a thermionic diode is made in the highly efficient region of very low anode potential (Va<1 volt). Maximum efficiency is calculated as a function of the cathode temperature for optimum values of anode potential. The calculations are performed for different values of usuable power density, anode temperature and emissivity of electrodes.
