The blue complex of L-ascorbic acid with Fe3+ ions has been obtained and isolated. Various spectrographic and analytical techniques have been used to study this complex. A kinetic study was also carried out on L-ascorbic acid oxidation by Fe3+ by means of the stoppod flow technique for rapid processes.
