Chloroantimonate(III), V. Darstellung und Kristallstruktur des Triethanolammoniuin-tetrachloroantimonats [(C2H4OH)3NH]SbCl4 / Chloroantimonates(III), V. Preparation and Crystal Structure of Triethanolammonium Tetrachloroantimonate [(C2H4OH)3NH]SbCl4

  • Dieter Brodalla and Annegret Lipka

Triethanolammonium tetrachloroantimonate was synthesized and investigated by X-ray diffraction analysis. The structure consists of SbCl3 molecules, chloride ions and triethanolammonium cations. The SbCl3 molecules and the cations form adducts by a bridging O-atom at 274.3 pm. The Sb-Cl distances within the SbCl3 molecule are 239.2, 240.3 and 245.3 pm, whereas the distances from the Sb atom th the Cl- ion are 290.2 and 332.1 pm.
