The Journal of Laboratory Medicine (JLM) is the official journal of the German Society of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (DGKL) and affiliated with the Austrian Society for Laboratory Medicine and Clinical Chemistry (ÖGLMKC).

A brief overview about submission is given by the Quick Checklist for Submission. From now on authors have to use the template for the respective article type for the preparation of their manuscripts (go to Supplementary Information). For further instructions on how to prepare manuscripts, please refer to the Quick Checklist Main Document. The License to Publish must be filled in and signed and uploaded when submitting. Additionally, the Template for Ethical and Legal Declarations AND the Author Form for Disclosure of Potential Conflict of Interest need to be customized/filled in by the submitting author on behalf of all others and uploaded as separate files at the time of submission. The Journal of Laboratory Medicine (JLM) is an Open Access journal, which is issued bi-monthly.It reports on the latest developments in laboratory medicine. Particular focus is placed on the diagnostic aspects of the clinical laboratory, although technical, regulatory, and educational topics are equally covered. The Journal specializes in the publication of high-standard, competent and timely review articles on clinical, methodological and pathogenic aspects of modern laboratory diagnostics. These reviews are critically reviewed by expert reviewers and JLM’s Associate Editors who are specialists in the various subdisciplines of laboratory medicine. In addition, JLM publishes original research articles, case reports, point/counterpoint articles and letters to the editor, all of which are peer reviewed by at least two experts in the field. JLM publishes only English-language articles.
