The coherent neutron scattering amplitude of caesium

Abstract

Neutron-diffraction structural analyses of cubic single crystals of two dicaesium lithium hexacyanometallates, Cs2LiFe(CN)6 and Cs2LiCo(CN)6, at 300°K indicate that the scattering length for caesium is 0.52 (± 0.02) × 10−12 cm, rather than 0.75 × 10−12cm as reported by Živadinović and Prelesnik (1966).
