Abstract

Cpo2ZrCl2 (Cpo = η5-C5Me4Et) crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/n (No. 14) (T = 298 K) with a = 8.477(4), b = 18.280(7), c = 14.372(7) Å, β = 92.88(7)°, V = 2224.3 Å3 and Z = 4. The refinement gives final R values R = 0.039 and Rw = 0.039 for 3860 observed symmetry-independent reflections. The Zr atom is tetrahedrally coordinated by two Cpo ligands and two chloro ligands. The Cpo ligands adopt a staggered conformation.
