Abstract

Concerning the Mechanism of 9 JHH Couplings in Bicyclic Systems Experimental investigations on bicyclic aromatic systems show the missing of an exocyclic long range coupling. The explanation for this fact can be found by assuming that the through space mechanism owns a greater influence on the amount of the long range coupling constants. On the basis of the different amounts of through space interaction between para-and exocyclic couplings the experimental results can be explained.
