Introduction to GENERIC
- Several problems and their solutions are included
- Main approaches to multilevel modelling are discussed and compared
- Emphasis lies on CIT, EIT, and GENERIC
- Contains a variety of applied examples
Aims and Scope
Non-equilibrium thermodynamics is a science that provides a constructive way of formulating evolution equations of processes that are consistent with fundamental laws of Nature. This monograph discusses different kinds of such theories & their consistent and rigorous unification in multilevel formulations. A wide range of examples with an emphasis on the theory of mixtures helps in applying the theory in various fields (e.g. in physics, biology).
