Aims and Scope
The First World War has given rise to plentiful and multifaceted literary and filmic production like no other historical event. The volume surveys British literature and film about the experience and memory of that war from 1914 until today. It introduces genre traditions and conditions of war writing, and it analyses the poetics and politics of literary and filmic memory of the Great War, applying concepts from various theoretical traditions.
