Discrete Event Modeling and Simulation
Series:De Gruyter Textbook
This book shows how to create conceptual simulation models, platform-independent simulation design models and platform-specific, executable simulation models using UML class diagrams and BPMN process models.
Aims and Scope
The term Discrete Event Simulation (DES) has been established as an umbrella term subsuming various kinds of computer simulation approaches, all based on the general idea of modeling entities and events.
This book provides an introduction to model-driven engineering, to information modeling with UML class diagrams, and to process modeling with BPMN diagrams. For the implementation it uses Java Script.
