Aims and Scope
The Mirror of Human Salvation, written in the early 14th century, is one of the most important works of late medieval catechesis. The images and text illustrate the connections between the Old and the New Testament, and seek to reveal the world’s divine structural plan. The work went on to become one of the most successful types of medieval books and was translated into many vernacular languages.
