Aims and Scope
We have never communicated so much using images as we do today. How do we communicate with images? How do we use them to create meaning? So far, researchers have paid no systematic attention to the logic of images. This textbook lays out an empirical communication model which combines direct communication with media communication, making further empirical research into recording contemporary communication possible for the first time.
