Aims and Scope
The model of hotelier hospitality called "Albergo Diffuso" (aka: "scattered hotel"), awarded by the UNDP for its innovativeness sustainability and social inclusiveness, was engineered in Italy in the mid-90s. This book’s chapters describe: (1) its community-based hospitality model; (2) the key-requisites a healthy village should possess to set-up that innovation; (3) the Resource-Based Theory supporting its development; and (4) the related business model.
