Quellen zur Geschichte der Juden in polnischen Archiven

[Sources on the History of the Jews in the Polish Archives]

Ed. by Jersch-Wenzel, Stefi

    Aims and Scope

This work lists, in two volumes, special inventories of archives on the history of the Jews in the Polish state archives, and makes quick, direct access to the respective files possible for the first time. In keeping with the central Polish archive organization, not only the state records, but also the files of the city archives, parishes, educational establishments, business enterprises, associations, political organizations and cultural institutions are covered. The period covered is determined by the period in which individual areas were a part of the Prussian state. All Polish-language records have been provided with German translations. People, places, institutions, organizations and businesses are included in a detailed index. For each archive addresses, telephone and fax numbers, eMails and Internet addresses where available, and opening hours are given.
